MEASUREMENT SESSION
We had a wicket to acurately measure a variety of dogs present for the match. Each dog was viewed on a table, height estimations were recorded and then reading were taken. The Results were announced and comparisons were noted.

"UNDERSTANDING THE LHASA STANDARD" SESSIONThe aspect of the Lhasa Apso Standard referring to "falling away behind the eyes" ws discussed at length. Handouts were provided that were acquired from the ALAC. The excerpts from the Official ALAC Illustrated Standard http://www.lhasa-apso.org/articles/illustrated.html were read and discussed while actual dogs were used as physical models to inform the group.
The interactive informative sessions were presented by our own AKC Judge Darby McSorley!
"POSITIVE COMMUNICATION" SESSIONCommunication via the Internet is becoming one of the primary manners in which our breed is discussed and influenced. An inquiry to our breeder referral officer was discussed and how that communication could be handled in a variety of positive ways that would result in the betterment of our breed. Human relations and personal views were discussed as well as local and national club policies regarding breeder referrals. Members shared their personal experiences and discussion was made pertaining to the future education of the public about the issues that Lhasa Apsos are involved with including hereditary diseases, behavior, and general well-being. The discussion sessions were led by Cathy Sarantis, Tara-Mi Lhasas.
